ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A low pressure area will track across the Gulf, pulling moisture back up from the south. This will result in a lot of clouds for Thursday into Friday with some rain chances.

Thursday morning will start with lows in the 60s to upper 50s. There will be some scattered sprinkles and light showers in the region.

Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny through the day with scattered showers passing. There will even be a few thunderstorms that try to drift in from the Gulf of Mexico. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Friday will feature scattered showers and storms moving through the region, with most of them gone by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s.

A cold front will pass through Friday evening with a blast of cooler air moving in for the weekend.
