The fliers tout white privilege and white pride.

The group behind the distribution, “Endangered Souls 519,” is considered a Neo-Nazi organization, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“How dare anyone try to shame me for my white privilege!” the flier read in part, stated in bold font and capital letters.

“My ancestors spent 20,000 years surviving ice ages, 2,000 years under tyrant kings, 200 years toiling down coal mines, working in factories, and being slaughtered on the battlefield all to earn white privilege to me.”

Sean O’Connor found the flier outside of his home in Wares Acres. He said he was “disgusted, irritated, and annoyed” when he read it.

“It’s a good diverse neighborhood,” O’Connor said. “Everyone here lives together very peaceably. We keep an eye on each other’s kids. That just needs to be called out for what it is and what it is ignorance.”

Mark Burrow who lives a few blocks away in the Village of the Arts community also received a flier.

“My wife was a little upset about it,” Burrow said. “And then my neighbors were coming like ‘did you get one of these?’ and we’re like ‘yeah.’

“It should be brought to the forefront immediately before it gets any worse because then it’ll be like a plague and it’ll start to go everywhere,” he said.

The SPLC says Endangered Souls has ties to Florida and Idaho. It’s also a member of the United Aryan Front Coalition which has a presence in Europe, Canada, and the U.S.

The group could not be reached for comment and a website listed in the flyer was defunct.
