ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Second Time Arounders Marching Band is living up to their name.  They have been invited back to play in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The St. Pete band is made up of veteran marchers who either played in high school, college, or the military.  The band gives these musicians a way to relive their passion.  And now, they are getting a second chance to do what every band geek dreams of — marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

"It's an honor to be selected to go to the Macy's Parade once. To do it twice, that's almost unheard of," Lee Lafleur said, who was with the band 11 years ago when it was first invited to join the holiday line up.

"What we're looking forward to the most? The Harold Square performance. So the parade is fun. Three and a half million New Yorkers lined up, but toward the end, at the end of the parade, we reform and we do a minute and half routine in front of the cameras that will be seen by 50 million people. It's pretty cool," Lafleur said.

It's a second chance for these Second Time Arounders to leave a lasting impression.
