RIVERVIEW, Fla. — When Elbert Pirtle found a 1 1/2 karat diamond ring in the Target parking lot in Riverview, he knew almost immediately that his discovery was as important as the ring itself.

"The more I looked at it," Pirtle said, "I noticed there was an enscription within the band and I was like 'OK, someone obviously lost this.'"

Now he needs the public's help finding the woman who lost it.

His wife Tracy is hoping for a Christmas miracle.

"Well it's a wedding ring and I would be heartbroken if I lost mine," Tracy said, "I'm hoping people can get the word out there or at least, fingers crossed, that the owner sees this and we can return the ring to her."

The ring has an inscription that the the owner will know.

Now all that's needed is a little bit of left over Christmas magic to make this miracle happen.
