ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A strong ridge of high pressure will bring us some of the warmest air of the season so far. Temperatures may climb into the low 90s away from the coast.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s, potentially threatening some records this weekend.

The all-time record high temperature in Tampa during the month of March is 92 degree, set in 1907. While this record is likely safe, temperatures will not be far from it.

Our temperatures will stay in the upper 80s and low 90s into early next week.

Signals continue to point toward a pattern change around the middle of next week. This could lead to slightly cooler air and higher rain chances, especially by Wednesday.

Up until we get some rain around here, the fire danger will be elevated due to the lack of rain over the last few weeks.
