From her students, to their parents, to her co-workers, this week’s A+ Teacher is doing what she can to help get everyone through the coronavirus pandemic.
Crystal Lake Elementary Kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher Jana Billman just can’t help herself.
Alongside her principal, they give out goodies to teachers along with personalized baskets Billman handmade for all of her coworkers.
“This is what I do,” Billman said. “I want to make people feel good about themselves and I have had the time to do that.”
She hand makes masks to give away for free. And it's probably fair to say this pandemic is getting to Billman.
“I said to my husband, when am I going to stop? He says you might be saving a life out there. And I am like, ‘Ok, I will keep making them.’ I am at 474 right now.”
