HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla - If you live in Hillsborough County, officials need your help.

What You Need To Know

The county is looking to survey anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 residents regarding how comfortable they feel returning to their old routines again. As businesses, restaurants, and public places begin to reopen statewide, county officials are looking for feedback on what places residents plan to return to and how quickly.

“We just kind of want to learn what peoples comfort level is, whether its from an employee side or a resident side,” said Liana Lopez, Chief Communications Administrator for Hillsborough County.

They plan to share this information with both elected officials and the business community so all parties can make informed decisions moving forward.

The county is hoping for a number of responses from residents in every zip code.

“You need two kids of data to deal with a pandemic,” explained Dr. Eric Eisenberg with the University of South Florida. “There’s clinical and epidemiological data, then the behavioral data because for public health to work you need to influence peoples choices.”

All respondents will remain anonymous and the survey will be available for the next two weeks by clicking this link: HCFLGov.net/ReopenHC
