TAMPA, Fla. — It’s not too often you get to see frost in Florida.

It was one of those mornings in Inverness as temperatures fell into the 20’s this morning.

What You Need To Know

There was a freeze warning through 8 a.m. in Citrus and Hernando counties, the coldest parts of the Tampa Bay area Wednesday.

In Tampa, temperatures did not dip below freezing, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t uncomfortably cold.

Downtown, people were bundled up as the coldest temperatures of the season set in.

In Polk County, people who park cars outside were greeted with ice on their windshields.

And in Citrus County, even the manatees were huddled up.

Video from the Southwest Florida Water Management Districts Three Sisters Springs property showed around 70 manatees grouped together Tuesday.

The Crystal River Wildlife Refuge expects more manatees today.

It will be warmer on Thursday and Friday.
