SEFFNER, Fla. - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is investigating Thursday's home explosion that left two people injured.

It happened just after 4 p.m. at a home on King Charles Circle.

According to neighbor Ryan Neilson, he helped pull two individuals out of the home after the explosion.

The pair received traumatic injuries and were taken to a local hospital, officials said. The condition of the individuals involved in the explosion was not immediately released.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.

The blast happened as some school children were walking nearby on the way home.

"After a while we saw or seen this guy just covered in blood and this lady," said witness Jesadie Novo. "My dad and her dad picked up out of the house and took her to the thing and that’s when the fire department had arrived."

Authorities said there was no running gas to homes in the neighborhood and no drug lab at the home reported by law enforcement.

There only released information is that whatever cause the explosion likely happened in the garage.
