TAMPA, Fla. — More construction is coming to Interstate 275.

Starting Monday, crews will work to add an additional traffic lane in each direction between the Hillsborough Avenue and the Interstate 4 interchange.

Drivers can expect delays at night between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. while crews work.

Those lanes will expand into the center median. Along with the new lanes, crews will add Intelligent Transportation Devices, fencing and noise barriers along the 2.5-mile stretch. Underpasses along the way will also be rebuilt.

Drivers can expect to see this construction for quite some time.

This $85.3 million project is not expected to wrap up until early 2026.
