ORLANDO, Fla. — Some of the finest, most over-the-top Christmas trees you've ever seen are now on display. The 33rd edition of Festival of Trees at the Orlando Museum of Art features 45 trees and every kind of holiday wreath, gingerbread house and festive decor imaginable. 

Here are five things to know about the Festival of Trees.

1. Theme: The 2019 Festival of Trees theme is "Merry and Bright." It takes place from November 15-24.

2. Designs: Each piece is designed by Orlando’s finest designers and is available for purchase. They are shipped "as is" so you can basically roll out a completed Christmas tree year after year.

3. Realistic trees: The trees are fake, but designers like Shaun O'Dwyer inserts a few real limbs to create a more natural, realistic body. O'Dwyer says Aspen, co-inspired his design.

"(It's) that (feeling) when you're outside, and it's cold; you've been skiing all day, and you come inside and it's warm," O'Dwyer said.

4. Tickets: General admission is ticket prices are:

  • Adult: $15
  • Children (ages 3-11): $7
  • Seniors (65 and over): $12
  • Military personnel and first responders (w/valid ID): $12.

On-site parking is free. The Fest is open daily 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. 

5. Proceeds: All proceeds benefit the Orlando Museum of Art.
