It was a battle of the Trinity Christians in Class 2A semifinal action.

The Lake Worth Trinity Christian Warriors and the Eagles from Deltona Trinity Christian. The Warriors were seeking the school's first baseball title, while the Eagles were aiming for their fourth.

Both teams had early scoring opportunities, but failed to produce runs. That didn't last as the Warriors pulled away in the late innings for an 8-0 win.

In the top of the third, the Warriors load the bases with one out. But Eagles pitcher Trenton Brickhouse gets his team out of the jam with no damage.

Still scoreless in the top of the fifth, the Warriors put runners on second and third. That prompted an Eagles make a pitching change and put Sam Brunnig on the mound.

Brunnig strikes out one, but loads the bases with a walk. Then Warriors second baseman BJ Murray with the sac fly for the first run of the game.

The Warriors open the flood gates with a seven run seventh inning and preserve the shutout, their 16th of the season.

Lake Worth Trinity Christian will play Christ Church Academy for the 2A title LIVE on BHSN (Channel 47/HD 1147) Thursday at 4 p.m.
