Two Hillsborough County powers kicked off the final week of the volleyball regular season with a thriller in South Tampa. Robinson was pushed to a fourth set by Steinbrenner before emerging victorious 3-1 (26-24, 25-14, 26-28, 25-17).

The back-and-forth first set featured six kills from Warriors senior captain Jacqui Ramsey, but Robinson countered with four kills each from junior Kristin Werdine and freshman Mila Yarich and narrowly took the set.

Mental errors by Steinbrenner played a big part in Robinson's easy win in set two, but the Warriors stormed back in set three behind sophomore Maggie Miller (six of her seven kills in set three) and Ramsey, who finished with a match-high 14 kills.

The Knights again had a big fourth set from Yarich (12 kills in the match) and Kristin Werdine, who also finished with 12 kills, including a team-high five in the deciding set. Werdine earned Player of the Game honors.

Robinson (18-3) enters the postseason as the #1 seed in 6A District 9, as the Knights look to advance to their fifth straight Final Four. Steinbrenner (11-5) will be the #3 seed in a competitive 8A District 8 that includes 2016 8A State Runner-Up Plant.
