UCF gained ground on conference rival USF in the latest Associated Press Top 25 football poll.

USF (7-0 overall, 4-0 in American Athletic Conference) dropped one spot to No. 17 after the Bulls extended their nation-leading winning streak to 12 games by beating Tulane 34-28 on Saturday. It was USF's 24th-straight game scoring at least 30 points (a new NCAA AP Poll era record - since 1936). 

UCF (6-0 overall, 4-0 in AAC) gained two spots in the AP Poll released Sunday after the Knights 31-21 victory over Navy on Saturday. The Knights are 6-0 for the first time in school history. UCF leads the nation in scoring, averaging 47.3 points a game. 

Miami, the only other Florida team in the Top 25, held its ground at No. 8. The Hurricanes beat Syracuse 27-19 on Saturday.
