The #16 East Ridge Knights flexed their 7A-District 4 muscle as the they defeated the host Hagerty Huskies 29-7 on a rainy night at Sam Momary Stadium in Oviedo.

East Ridge senior quarterback Caleb Lynum was named the Spectrum Sports Player of the Game after rushing for 200 yards and accounting for all 4 Knights' touchdowns.  Lynum has 10 division-1 offers including one from Indiana.

East Ridge playmaker, Justin Watkins, who has 24 offers including Alabama, Florida and LSU, was injured in the first half and left the game with 6 carries for 17 yards.  Watkins entered the game averaging 171.2 total yards per game.

Knights senior wide receiver Tyree Baptiste caught 2 ball for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns, highlighted by a 72 yard catch and run at the end of the 2nd quarter.

East Ridge (5-1, 3-0 dist) held Hagerty (3-2, 2-1 dist) to 184 total yards on the night.

Huskies senior running back Jordan Gilbert was held to 46 yards on 9 carries, while senior running back Oliver Hart scored Hagerty's lone touchdown on a 25 yard reception.

Hagerty turned the ball over 3 times in the loss.

East Ridge will play #19 Edgewater in a huge district battle on October 20th, but will first travel to play West Port next Friday.  Hagerty will host district foe Lake Minneola on Tuesday night.
