The Bucs announced that they have released starting right guard J.R. Sweezy.

The offensive lineman missed 2018 OTA's and minicamp due to a leg injury. Sweezy started 14 games for the Bucs in 2017 after missing all of 2016 due to a back injury.

The Bucs signed free agent center Ryan Jensen this offseason, moving Ali Marpet back to guard, allowing for this move to happen.

Sweezy was scheduled to make $6.5 million this season.
