After a sluggish start to the recruiting season, new Florida State head coach Willie Taggart finished strong on National Signing Day.  The Seminoles finished the early signing period with a recruiting class well outside the top 25 in the nation, but surged into the top 15 with some key signees today.

The top signee in Florida State's class actually did come during the early signing period in December though.  4-star S Jaiden Woodbey from California is ranked the 35th-best recruit in the nation and headlines the 20-man class for the Seminoles.

Florida's state recruiting class currently ranks 11th in the nation and 3rd-best in the ACC.

Local signees include Warren Thompson (Armwood), Malcolm Lamar (Armwood), Isaiah Bolden (Wesley Chapel), Dennis Briggs (Gateway), D'Marcus Adams (Mainland) and Chaz Neal (Wesley Chapel).
