TAMPA, Fla. — Cambridge Christian's Mary Ellen Eudaly will go down as one of the fastest milers in Florida high school history.

This year, she took gold in the 800 and 1,600 meters at the Florida High School Athletics Association Class 1A state meet.

The outgoing senior said that her love for running started when her parents would go for runs with her in the jog stroller as a toddler.

Eudaly's success on the track has earned her an invitation to The Brooks Invitational in Seattle next month. The field of that event consists of the top 12 runners in the country.

This will be the second year in a row that she has run in this prestigious event.

Eudaly will continue her career running for track powerhouse Arkansas.
