ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The best storm coverage Tuesday was west of I-75 due to the higher moisture content concentrated there.

There's a chance of an isolated storm overnight into the early morning hours, otherwise expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Morning lows will be in the low to mid 70s inland and upper 70s near the coast.

Wednesday will start with some isolated storms in the Gulf and near our coast. They will drift into the coastal counties by early afternoon.

But the difference from Tuesday is that they will then drift inland during the afternoon to evening, moving away from the coastal areas. Highs will be in the low 90s.

By the late afternoon the best chance of a storm will be east of I-75.

Thursday will feature a slightly stronger onshore breeze from the west. This means that the storms will move inland and eastward through the day so that the best coverage will end up going east of I-75.

Highs will be in the low 90s. That will be the pattern into Friday also.

During this time however, moisture will be increasing in the atmosphere, so that will help to increase the number of storms that pop up and therefore increase the coverage, especially by Friday into Saturday.

Starting Sunday the wind regime collapses resulting in a better coverage of storms coming back toward our coast. At that point rain coverage will increase and stay that way into early next week.
