ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — An active pattern continues across our area with daily rain chances.
It resembles that of a summertime pattern but with a lot less lightning. The temperatures and humidity will be quite high over the next week.

Today will be warm and muggy under partly cloudy skies. A cold front to our west will move close enough to spark showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder but the front will not move through. It will stall to our west keeping Tampa Bay on the warm, humid side of things. Winds are out of the south-southwest today and this will lead to dangerous rip currents on our beaches.
Expect decreasing clouds tonight with light winds. This may lead to patchy fog toward early Monday morning, especially in areas that receive rain this afternoon. It will be another mild night with lows in the mid-70s.

Monday will be partly sunny with scattered showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Scattered afternoon to evening storms will be possible through the middle of the week. It will be warm and humid each day.
On Halloween, slightly drier air moves in. There will still be showers around the area but not as widespread.
The next front approaches on Friday. It will slow down and stall nearby. The front may move south of us by next weekend and this will bring some relief in the humidity across our area.
