Spectrum Bay News 9 has announced this year’s winners of our Project Weather scholarships!

Each year, we award seven high school seniors who excel in science with a scholarship of $1,000.

Here is a look at our 2021 winners:

Emily Parrish from Seminole High School in Pinellas County. She'll be studying chemical engineering at the University of South Florida.

Sagnik Yarlagadda from Strawberry Crest High School in Hillsborough County. He'll be doing pre-med at Vanderbilt University.

Emma Craig from St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Manatee County. She will be attending the University of Miami for biomedical engineering.

Benjamin McQuatters from River Ridge High School in Pasco County. He will be studying meteorology and atmospheric science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Sarah True from Frostproof Middle-Senior High School in Polk County. She is headed to Warner University to study agriculture and business.

Sean Kennedy from Frank W. Saginaw High School in Hernando County will attend USF for civil engineering...

Genevieve Kennedy from Crystal River High School in Citrus County is heading to Florida Southern College for nursing.
