Two years after receiving an "F" rating, Mollie Ray Elementary School in Orange County is being inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society.
Eight students were inducted into the National Honor Society Tuesday.
Principal Carmen Balgobin said it's important to highlight those students and pave a pathway for their success.
"We want to continue to grow and continue to expand on all the positives that we have here at Mollie Ray, to develop that pride among our community,” Balgobin said. “Pride among our parents and students so that they want to be here, they want every single day to be committed to doing their very best."
The mother of NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was a special guest speaker at the event.
