Chuck is Your Morning News’ Real Time Traffic Expert and fill-in News Anchor for Bay News 9.
He is also the national "Voice" of Bands of America/Music for All, Inc, celebrating 28 years as the organization's Public Address Announcer (2016). In 2012 Music for All, Inc. induced Mr. Henson into its Bands of America Hall of Fame in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In 2015 Chuck was presented with the National Media Award from the American Traffic Safety Services Association for his work promoting Traffic Safety.
Chuck was featured in the 2011 Winter/Spring issue of "Pete" Magazine and was named "Tampa Bay's Favorite TV Personality" three times by the readers of Watermark at the annual WAVE Awards (2016, 2012, 2010) and is a two-time WMNF Peace Award Nominee.
Chuck was a proud participant in the 2010 "Tampa Bay's Dancing with the Stars" Charity Event hosted by Julie Weintraub's Hands Across the Bay and was the 2011 St Petersburg AIDS Walk Grand Marshall.
Chuck's love for music and music education is prevalent in everything he does. He has emceed the annual Chicagoland Showcase for the past 20 years. As a product of his high school band/choral program and an alumnus and Board Member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps of Madison, Wisconsin, Chuck works hard to promote and enhance the growth of music education nationwide.
Chuck is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Journalism, College of Communications and has been recognized by the State of Kentucky as a "Kentucky Colonel."
