Kim Leoffler is a video journalist based in the Hernando County newsroom.

Before coming to the Sunshine State, Kim was a general assignment reporter for KLTV in Tyler, TX. Some of the most memorable stories she covered included a series of local races during the 2016 election and the trial of a man accused of killing a transgender woman. Kim's coverage of that trial contributed to an AP award for KLTV's sister station, KTRE.

Kim graduated from the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California. In addition to her studies, Kim had the opportunity to work in a number of different newsrooms throughout the country including NY1 in New York City and NBC News in Los Angeles and Atlanta.

While Kim is not a native Floridian, she is so excited to call Florida home and to be closer to her family in Atlanta. When she's not reporting, you can find Kim checking out new dance classes in the area and spending time with her family and friends.
