ORLANDO, Fla. -- Some of Orlando's water parks will be closed for a few days due to an impending cold snap.

Universal's Volcano Bay also will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a post on Universal Orlando's official Twitter account.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Disney World website. The resort's other water park, Blizzard Beach, is closed for its annual refurbishment.

Aquatica Orlando will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday as well. "We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you soon," the park said in a Facebook post.

The forecast calls for highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s this week.

The cold weather closures will not impact the area's theme parks, which will operate as scheduled.
