TAMPA, Fla. – Adventure Island, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s water park, will open for the 2021 season on March 6.

  • Health and safety measures will be in place; reservations are required

  • Face masks will also be required in designated areas

In addition to health and safety measures such as increased cleaning, temperature checks and physical distancing, the water park will also have limited capacity and reservations will be required.

Visitors ages 2 and other will be required to wear face masks in certain designated areas such as the park entrance and exit, retail areas, and food and beverage areas. Face masks will not be required in the water or on any water attractions in the park.

“We are thrilled to offer a limited-capacity environment where Florida families can enjoy an outdoor, open air experience together, especially for the spring break season,” said Neal Thurman, president of Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island, in a statement.

The 30-acre Adventure Island features a number of water slides and attractions, including the newest thrill Solar Vortex, which debuted last year.
