ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Petersburg artist is painting portraits of COVID-19 victims in a project called Faces Not Numbers.
Margaret Bayalis says it’s a way for her to honor them as people, rather than statistics.
She is accepting photos from families all around the world and gifts them the paintings, free of charge.
