FLORIDA  — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Briana Williams is being charged with child neglect and making false statements after the disappearance of her 5-year-old daughter Taylor Williams.

Briana Williams is not in jail though she is currently in serious condition in the hospital.

"I know that there appears to be an overdose where she's ingested something. We don't know what as of yet," said Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams at a news conference.

Earlier on Tuesday, remains were found in Alabama, however, they have not been positively identified, but they are believed to be Taylor who was reported missing last week by her mother, who is not related to the sheriff.

Williams said the mother has stopped cooperating with the investigation and that she and the child have not been seen together in months.
