LAKELAND, Fla. — 11:10 a.m. update: Lakeland police Tuesday morning said an 11th shooting victim came forward and was treated at a hospital after more than 40 shots were fired in a city neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Police Chief Sam Taylor says that the suspected vehicle, a blue Nissan sedan, has likely been found. He told reporters that lab work and processing still needs to be done, but the vehicle was found in west Lakeland.

"We have a high level of confidence we have located the vehicle," Taylor said.

Taylor said no arrests have been made but that detectives worked into the early morning hours to identify suspects. He said police have received "very promising leads, very promising information."

He said police believe the suspects are not Lakeland residents.

Two of the shooting victims remain in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital. The other nine victims have either been released from the hospital already, or will be released today.

Police are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-226-TIPS (8477).

LAKELAND, Fla. — Ten people were shot early Monday afternoon leaving two in critical condition, police said. The victims were all male between the ages of 21 and 35. 

Lakeland police responded to the area of Iowa Avenue North and Plum St. around 3:40 p.m.

They arrived to find several people shot. Offical estimates indicate ten victims, with two considered to be in critical condition.

Police report that a car pulled through the neighborhood with four shooters shooting at both sides of the street around the usual time that school buses drop off students in the area. Authorities believe it was a targeted attack. 

Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor told reporters that officers would be out "most of the night" looking for a suspect vehicle. He also mentioned that the public shouldn't be concerned, although the suspect in the shootings is still at large as of the press conference. 

Police are searching for a blue Nissan sedan with temporary tags. 

"We have every reason to believe this was a targeted event," Taylor said during the press conference. "When stuff like this happens, it just kind of hits home with me a little bit."
