EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Spectrum Originals' most popular series is back for a crime-fighting second season.

In addition to starring in LA's Finest, Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba both serve as executive producers on the hit series that was scheduled to premiere its second season back in June, but was delayed in response to the ongoing protests across the country.

5 Things You Need to Know:

  1. Union is reprising her role of Sydney "Syd" Burnett from the Will Smith/Martin Lawrence blockbuster "Bad Boys II."
  2. In May 2020, Fox acquired the broadcast rights for the series' first season to fill in primetime broadcast hours due to production suspensions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. The series, which launched on Spectrum Originals in May 2019, is the #1 viewed series on the Spectrum On Demand platform with over 3.4 million viewers to date.
  4. Orlando Jones and Gena Rowland join season two. "So many other characters come from other shows, and they come from such large fan bases," said Alba. "So hopefully Zach Gilford fans, Duane Martin fans, everyone has a chance to see those guys shine as well."
  5. Some other fun facts about the show: The story is set 13 years after the events of Bad Boys II. Also, this is the first television series produced under the Spectrum Originals banner. And lastly, Alba's character's brother is played by Alba's real-life brother Joshua.
