EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Skylar Astin has been keeping busy with two new projects.
He returns for the second season of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist while also co-starring in Disney Plus' Secret Society Of Second Born Royals, a new kid-friendly movie with a good message.

- Secret Society is produced by Zoey creator Austin Winsberg and follows a new class of second-born Royals trained to save the world.
- Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is about a computer programmer who discovers she has the ability to hear the innermost thoughts of people as songs. Each show features multiple song-and-dance numbers that develop the storyline.
- The second season of Zoey is again choreographed and produced by Emmy-winner Mandy Moore, and is filming up in Richmond, British Columbia.
- Astin co-starred in the first two Pitch Perfect movies and was also part of the original cast of the Broadway musical Spring Awakening. He dated and eventually married Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp, but the two divorced in August 2019.
- The 32-year-old New Yorker offered insight on filming during the pandemic: "There will be arrows on the ground for which departments need to walk in a certain direction, and I think it will be a little bizarre."
