Addison Bassford, 7, and sisters Anna, 6, and Elise Chandler, 9 are serious bird lovers.
The girls have helped raise money for the Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Rocks Beach, picking up more than 53 pounds of trash on the beach with their Girl Scout troop. Funds were raised by sponsors who paid the troop by the pounds of trash collected.
But now, the girls are doing even more.
A GoFundMe account created by the girls, with a little help, has earned $500 for the sanctuary.
The Seabird Sanctuary has for decades cared for injured and sick seabirds. Sanctuary officials were pleasantly surprised when the the girls made their $257 donation to the facility.
