ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — To coin a phrase, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood on Sunday at Rollins College in Winter Park, where the campus held a walking tour of Fred Rogers' memorabilia.

The tour coincides with the November 22, release of the movie "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood," starring Tom Hanks.

Rogers was an alumni of Rollins College and has a spot on the Rollins Walk of Fame in front of Lyman Hall, his old dormitory. The self-guided walking tour is a way for the young and old to learn about Mr. Rogers and his connection to Central Florida.

"It's amazing to me that people have heard about this far and wide. The other thing about the sweater and the sneakers is even when it's not on display, it's the most requested item in our archives," said Jo Marie Hebeler, the associate director of external communications at the college.

The free tour runs through November 27, during regular operating hours of Rollins College's Cornell Fine Arts Museum.
