When the Florida Task Force on Citizen Safety and Protection meets for the first time next week, Trayvon Martin's parents will be there.

Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton will be part of a rally Tuesday by the "Second Chance on Shoot First" campaign started by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Supporters say they will deliver more than 340,000 petitions calling for the reform or repeal of laws like Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

Trayvon Martin died last February in Sanford after a scuffle with George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer. Zimmerman has said that he shot Martin in self-defense.

The Florida Task Force on Citizen Safety and Protection will be taking public comment at its meeting Tuesday at Northland Church on Dog Track Road in Longwood. The task force is meant to look into the law to see if it needs to be reformed or repealed.
