A neighbor is in custody after a Clearwater man was shot in the face and killed during the latest in a string of altercations between the men, investigators said.

According to Pinellas Co. Sheriff's officials, the victim, Keith Lewandowski, 46, the suspect and other neighbors have forced deputies to respond to disputes at the Riviera Mobile Home Park at 29141 U.S. Hwy. 19 N. in the past.

On Wednesday around 12:30 p.m., investigators said Bruce K. Schunk, 65, was allegedly drunk, went inside Lewandowski's home uninvited and confronted his wife, Sandra.

The suspect allegedly said, "I've had enough," pulled a gun on the woman and pointed it at her. Lewandowski stepped in and the suspect shot him in the face, investigators said. He was dead by the time deputies arrived on scene.

There was no incident Wednesday before the shooting, investigators said.

Schunk was arrested at his own mobile home and the handgun believed used in the shooting was recovered. Investigators said he declined to speak to them about the incident and was taken to the Pinellas County Jail. He will be charged with murder.
