A bicyclist who died after he was hit by two vehicles in Pasco County has been identified.
Investigators said James C. Allbritton, 29, of Dade City was riding south on State Road 35 shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday when a 2008 Mazda hit him from behind.
Allbritton was thrown onto the vehicle, then landed in the northbound lane of State Road 35, the report said. Albritton was then hit by a 2001 Nissan Sentra heading north.
Allbritton died at the scene of the crash.
Investigators said Allbritton's bicycle was not equipped with any lighting for nighttime travel.
The incident remains under investigation.
