Hernando deputies say a man who worked at an assisted living facility is in trouble for the second time of stealing a resident’s credit card.

Deputies say Robert McKinney worked as a night guard for the Evergreen Woods Assisted Living Facility in December of 2012.

While employed there, deputies say McKinney stole the credit card from an 83-year-old male resident.

Family members of the victim noticed the suspicious transactions and sought assistance from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

McKinney was identified by video surveillance, collected from various locations where the card was used, and through a public alert bulletin issued by detectives.

The investigation also revealed that McKinney had previously been arrested for stealing and fraudulently using the credit card of another resident of Evergreen Woods.

McKinney was arrested, charged with organized fraud, and transported to the Hernando County Detention Center. His bond was set at $2,000.
