Motorcyclist hit from behind, killed in Homosassa Springs

A motorcyclist was struck from behind by a car and killed Monday night in Homosassa Springs, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to troopers, Richard Thomas Emanuele, 45, of Homosassa stopped on West Cardinal Street to make a left turn onto South Gross Avenue. Kelly

Kristine Wallace, 31, of Homosasa was traveling in the same direction in a Volkswagen Jetta and ran into the back of the motorcycle.

Emanuele died at the scene. Wallace was not injured.

Charges are pending, the FHP said.
