A British businessman who came to Orlando for a conference was found dead Saturday morning.  The body of Simon Latham was discovered in a pond on the Caribe Royal Resort located at 8101 World Center Drive.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the 43-year-old's body was found by his brother-in-law just before 8 a.m. Saturday.

“It does not look, at this particular point in time, as if there is any foul play. It doesn’t appear to be the case right now. Of course, there will be a medical examiner’s examination and we’ll see where we’ll go from there,” said Jeff Williamson from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Latham went missing Thursday and was last seen leaving the lounge at the Caribe Royale Resort around 1 a.m.

Latham, who lived in South Korea, was visiting Orlando with his brother-in-law to attend a conference.  He was scheduled to go back to South Korea Friday morning, but did not make his flight and had not contacted his family or retrieved his belongings from the hotel.
