A Tampa family is dealing with a sinkhole that formed outside their home on West Jean St.

The sinkhole is about four feet across and four feet deep and formed right near their front porch.

The family says they had a sinkhole in the backyard last week that was repaired, and they thought everything was fine until their neighbor saw this one.

They rushed home from church, saw the hole - and decided they'd have to stay somewhere else for now.

“How did this happen, why us, why us? Like and I was almost in tears because I was so scared. What will happen to the house, what will happen to us?” said Dayains Sanchez, the homeowner.

Code enforcement officials tell Bay News 9 it's a private property issue - and the family has to take care of it.
