A woman that was put into a vegetative state after she was immobilzed with a stun gun by a FHP trooper two years ago in Pinellas Park has died.

The Florida Highway Patrol released dash cam video that captured one of their troopers tasing a handcuffed woman in the back as she fled.

The video released shows the fleeing woman, Danielle Maudsley, 20 at the time, hitting her head on the concrete.

She suffered severe brain damage after and has been in a vegetative state at a Ft. Lauderdale rehab center that specializes in severe brain injuries ever since, according to her mother.

Following an investigation, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement determined Trooper Daniel Cole's "use of force" was justified when he tased Maudsley last September at the FHP Pinellas Park Substation. Cole was cleared of wrongdoing.

Maudsley was arrested for her alleged involvement in two hit-and-run crashes and driving without a license.

In another video, Maudsley is seen in the back of Cole's cruiser after being arrested, managing to get her right hand free from handcuffs and eventually playing with her hair. At one point, it appears she tries to open the cruiser's door, but can't.
