Crews have finished cleaning up Highway 60 after an earlier semi crash.

According to Polk County Fire Rescue, the semi was heading eastbound on Highway 60, near Grape Hammock Road, when the driver lost control, crossing westbound traffic and tipping over.

The semi, which was carrying sodium hydroxide, did not leak but the road was shut down while crews worked to offload the contents of the overturned tanker into an empty tanker.

The driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
