A Brooksville man died Monday after he lost control of his truck and crashed into a tree, investigators said.
Billy Mullins, 59, was driving on Snow Memorial Highway, just north of U.S. 41, at 6:10 p.m. when he drove his 1989 Dodge Ram beneath a tree.
Investigators said a branch broke and fell on top of the truck, which caused Mullins to lose control of his truck and crash into another tree on the east shoulder of the highway.
Mullins died from his injuries at the scene of the crash.
