A well known Polk County sanctuary is set to be sold at auction next month.

The 9,600-seat Without Walls Central in north Lakeland is up for auction as a result of bankruptcy.

The building was originally Carpenter's Home Church. The now-unused building is being foreclosed on by a California-based credit union.

According to partner newspaper the Ledger, sealed bids for the property are due July 7 with the auction set for the following day.

The facility includes a Mediterranean-style structure built in the 1920s as a retirement home for a carpenters' union. That building was used in recent years as a private school.

The campus also includes sports fields on the south side of the property.

Without Walls International, the Tampa church headed by Randy White, filed for bankruptcy in March.
