Two Tampa police pursuits involving two stolen vehicles ended early Thursday with four suspected car thieves in custody.

According to Tampa police, four suspects drove to Tampa and were spotted stealing a Lexus in the Hyde Park area. After running the plates, police attempted to pull the car over, but a pursuit followed.

Around the same time, police also pursued a Jeep stolen out of St. Petersburg where the suspects led police on a chase into the Adamo Drive area.

Moments after the Lexus crashed into construction equipment near 34th Street and Adamo Drive, the Jeep rolled over at 50th Street and Adamo Drive.

As officers were taking suspects into custody and investigating the scene, a driver in a work truck, who police say was drunk, crashed into a cruiser.

Four of the suspects involved were arrested on car theft charges (three in jail, one in the hospital) and another person was arrested on drunk driving charges.

No officers were injured.
