Youngsters in Hernando County are learning some important skills in an all-new way.

James Burrows fell in love with LEGOs about two years ago. A few weeks ago, Burrows and his wife opened up The Brick University in Spring Hill.

They buy, sell and trade LEGOs and also offer different classes for various ages and abilities.

Students learn about engineering, design, math, robotics and other skills by playing with the LEGOs.

"You can actually see the children when they start working on it — you can almost see the wheels turning," Burrows said.

Dillon McPherson, 11, loves what he's learning and can't get enough of the new school. He said he rates the school a 10 on a scale of 1-10.

"They can actually be inspired, and that really brings out a lot more," Burrows said.

Brick University is all about having some fun and learning. For more information, go to the school's website.
