A Pinellas county-wide "DUI Wolf Pack" effort by multiple Pinellas County law enforcement agencies netted 12 arrests for driving under the influence, as well as several other arrests and citations Friday night.

The patrol, announced in advance, was conducted between Friday night and Saturday morning. Participating agencies included the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Highway Patrol and the police departments in Tarpon Springs, Largo, St. Petersburg, treasure Island, Pinellas Park and Clearwater.

Thirteen people were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, five for miscellaneous violations, two for driving with a suspended or revoked license and one for felony driving with a suspended or revoked license.

More than 120 citations were issued, including 63 for speeding.
