TNA Impact Wrestling star Thomas Latimer, who goes by the name "Bram" in the ring, has been arrested on charges of domestic battery.

Latimer, 29, was taken into custody in Gulfport early on Sunday morning.

At approximately 6 a.m. Sunday, Gulfport police responded to a call about a disturbance in an apartment on the 3200 block of 58th Street South.

According to the arrest affidavit, Latimer and his live-in girlfriend had been arguing. Officers said the woman felt threatened and sought refuge in her bedroom.

Police said Latimer followed her into the bedroom, closed the door and refused to allow her to leave. Police said he then pushed the woman onto the bed and was holding her down by her neck.

Latimer was charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation and false imprisonment. He is currently being held in the Pinellas County Jail.

Wrestling fans call the arrest "disappointing."

"There's no call for that," said Randy O'Connell. "They should get rid of him. He shouldn't be on TV anymore. It's unacceptable."

TNA Impact a Wrestling said Latimer has been suspended pending the outcome of the case.

Latimer is married to pro wrestler Ashley Fliehr, who performs in the WWE as Charlotte, and is the daughter of retired pro-wrestler Ric Flair. The couple is reportedly separated.
