The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death.

According to officials, deputies responded to 2490 W Sunripe Loop in Crystal River at 3:30 a.m. Monday after receiving a call about a brush fire.
When deputies arrived, firefighters already at the scene told them there was a dead person inside of a car that was engulfed in flames.
Authorities said Monday afternoon that the vehicle belonged to Linda Steve, 58, of Crystal River.
Steve's family told investigators she had not been seen since Sunday night.
The sheriff's office said DNA results will be required to make a positive identification on the body. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Detectives, along with forensic units, were called to the scene as part of the investigation.
