Two Bradenton men have been arrested on charges of sexual abuse involving special needs adults.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office arrested Jeremiah Damsgaard, 25, and David Makynen, 30, who had close access to their victims. 

Makynen was charged with three counts of sexual battery on an adult victim. The victims are 25, 29, and 50-year-old males, officials said. 

The victims are special needs adults and Makynen was their support coach. Officials said Makynen worked at several group homes over the past 12 years. 

Damsgaard was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious battery on a teen victim and four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a teen victim. He is also charged with one count of sexual battery on an adult victim. The victims are 14 and 29-year-old males, officials said.

According to the report, Damsgaard had no affiliation with the group homes. 

During the investigation, detectives discovered allegations of fraud committed by the two suspects. Those allegations are being investigated by the office of the Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. 

The investigations are ongoing and additional charges are pending.
